These assumptions affect every result. Adjust them to your equipment or measurements.

Start charge and reserve refer to the usable capacity. Reserve is a planning margin, not the battery’s protective cutoff.

How this estimate works

We follow the battery through the trip in time order. Daytime charging cannot pay for a night that has already run out of power. A later recharge never cancels an earlier interruption.

Fridge Wh/day is averaged over 24 hours. Lights, phones and the extra device use their daily time windows. Device energy is divided by the selected output efficiency once. Charging input is already battery-side power; no second charging loss is applied.

Usable capacity accounts for unavailable energy before starting charge is applied. Reserve is a separate planning margin. Example device values are editable assumptions, not promises for your equipment.

Use your campsite’s wall-clock times. Every planning day is 24 hours; daylight-saving changes are not modeled. This estimate does not check ports, surge loads, BMS behavior, charging compatibility, temperature or safe food storage. Check your equipment separately.

Why inputs matter: capacity and conversion losses ↗ · solar conditions ↗. Those sources do not calibrate this calculator.
